I hate to be corny but…I was driving to work from school today, and a recent song by Katy Perry really grabbed my attention. I hear it all the time but never actually listened to the words until today. Now I’m not a big fan of Katy Perry’s music aside from Extraterrestrial ( That song can really get me going lol) but the lyrics to this new song Part of Me really hit home. It made me think of all the times I let people’s negative words get through to me, making me question whether or not what they were saying was true. Then I thought about the movie The Help, which I was watching the other day and there’s a scene in the movie where the main character does a flashback and her maid tells her: Every day you’re not dead in the ground, when you wake up in the morning, you’re gonna have to make some decisions. Got to ask yourself this question: “Am I gonna believe all them bad things them fools say about me today?”Such a powerful statement. There comes a point where you have to say screw them and what they think. No one can stop you from being you, and why would you want to give anyone that power anyway? Check out the music video.

This is the very first t-shirt to be released in the line-up of BFF tees! It was drawn out by a close friend, Richard Russell. We thought it would be funny to make a reference to the iPhone, cuz who doesn’t have a smartphone these days?! We’ve become so hooked to those handheld devices and the good ol’ apps they come with. Little do we focus on the things we apply or should apply to our lives that are most important, and that don’t require a download or a fee lol you can fill out that blank______________ whatever it may be.
